Colliers International to Lead Leasing Assignment for WeWork at Dock72

NEW YORK, November 26, 2018 – Colliers International Group Inc., the fastest-growing publicly-listed global real estate services and investment management company, announced today that it had been appointed to lead leasing efforts for WeWork at the highly-anticipated Dock 72 project in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

 

The venture makes Colliers the exclusive leasing agent for WeWork’s six floors, totaling 220,000 square feet, in the 16-story, 675,000-square-foot office building currently under construction. The space, called WeWork at Dock 72, is being designed for entrepreneurs and creators who are incubating the next generation of leading technology, media, food and modern manufacturing companies.

Dock 72, developed by Boston Properties and Rudin Development, is one of the largest ground-up New York City developments outside of Manhattan in decades. The property features 360-degree waterfront views of Manhattan and Brooklyn, 35,000 square feet of common indoor amenities, 10,000 square feet of outdoor amenities, 18,000 square feet of private terraces and a 15,000-square-foot wellness center.

 

Free, WiFi-equipped shuttle service with a stop right outside of Dock 72 runs every ten minutes between the Navy Yard and major subway lines in DUMBO and Downtown Brooklyn, all less than a mile away from the building. Buses, Citi Bike, Car2Go and dedicated building parking all provide alternative options for easy commuting. A new East River Ferry stop at the Navy Yard is scheduled to open early next year. The building is tentatively scheduled to open to tenants in the first half of 2019.
