April 17, 2018 [Philadelphia, PA] – Ameribest Home Care – a leader in providing home care services, is relocating operations to 990 Spring Garden owned and operated by Arts + Crafts Holdings, just a short distance from their current location at 1221 Spring Garden. Ameribest will occupy over 10,000 SF of space on the 2nd floor of the 166,995 SF building. Michael Barmash from Colliers International represented Ameribest in this transaction, which enables them to acquire increased space and keep their operation in the area. Other tenants include Azavea, Spring Garden Lending, Boco Digital Media and EducationWorks.

990 Spring Garden is a former industrial building, originally designed in 1920 by renowned architect Rankin and Kellogg who also designed Philadelphia’s U.S. Post Office at 30th and Market Street. The seven-story building has undergone extensive renovations as creative loft style office spaces that highlight original industrial details such as concrete floors, 11-foot ceilings, mushroom columns, and large perimeter windows with sweeping views of the Philadelphia skyline and the Reading Viaduct Railpark.

Located in the emerging Spring Arts district of Philadelphia’s Callowhill neighborhood, the building caters to Philadelphia’s thriving creative tech class, arts and culture, maker and crafts, and other innovative companies.  The newly designed modern common areas will help 990 Spring Garden be home to a mix of established organizations, start-ups, incubators and entrepreneurs seeking to express their creativity.
Ground floor tenants include Roy-Pitz Brewing Company, Schmear It, and the soon to open Lucky Well, from celebrity chef Chad Rosenthal.

The building houses a regular curated exhibit, open to the public in the lobby, of Philadelphia’s top known and recently discovered visual artists.
