Colliers International Closes Out the Summer with More than a Dozen New Hires

The Real Estate Management Services (REMS) division has won approximately 3.5 million square feet of business in just five months, prompting the division’s rapid growth.

Richmond, VA – September 2020 – Colliers International Virginia, LLC recently hired twenty new employees to keep up with the company’s high demand for property management services nationally. Since March, the division has added 3.5 million square feet of business, bringing the overall management portfolio to 44 million square feet.

We have been very fortunate to continue to grow our business by providing the highest level of property management services available.” stated Todd Willett, Regional Managing Director of REMS Virginia. “This can only be done by employing the best in the industry. Our team is full of the most dedicated professionals around and we are pleased to add these newest team members.”

The filled positions include property accountants, property assistants and managers, building engineers, lease administrators and marketing and operations support. Currently, the REMS team consists of over 250 employees locally and over 1,000 nationally.

Todd Willett is the Regional Managing Director of REMS|Virginia  and oversees and coordinates a team of real estate managers and support staff responsible for over 30 million square feet of office, flex, industrial, and retail assignments. Todd has 25 years of experience and joined the firm in 1998. Previously he was with a real estate development company for nine years where he was responsible for development, property management, accounting and administration for office buildings, medical centers and industrial properties. In addition, Todd spent three years managing residential properties in Northern Virginia and Hampton Roads. In Northern Virginia, he was responsible for 3,000 residential properties which consisted of single family homes, apartments and condominiums. In the Hampton Roads area, Todd was responsible for 500 resort homes and condominiums. Todd is a Certified Property Manager and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Virginia Wesleyan College. He recently served as the Regional Vice President of the Institute of Real Estate Management.
