Colliers was engaged to provide commissioning services for the U.S. Coast Guard, as they endeavored to receive LEED-CI (Commercial Interiors) certification for the tenant fit-out of the Coast Guard’s 45,500 square foot Research and Development Center in New London, CT.

As commissioning agent, Colliers assisted the Coast Guard to achieve the commissioning prerequisites for LEED-CI certification. This process included development of a commissioning plan, creation and implementation of construction checklists for the facility’s MEP equipment and systems, performance of periodic reviews of the installation of equipment and systems during the construction period, development and implementation of functional performance tests, the preparation of a commissioning issues logs, and presentation of a final commissioning report upon completion.
