The Hampton Roads industrial market activity remains steady with a significant number of occupiers looking for available class A&B warehouse space. Despite the activity, transactions remain slow for the large blocks of space. Additionally, the demand for land for development has been steady as a result of the lack of readily available existing product. Notable transactions include the sale of 1440 London Bridge Road with 400,000 square feet of space trading at $8.5M in May of 2017. Approximately 200,000 sf will be coming back on the market available for lease.
