In the fourth quarter of 2018, Palm Beach County’s vacancy rate for industrial and flex space compressed tighter than Miami-Dade and Broward. The vacancy rate currently stands at 3 percent, a sign of the strong demand for industrial space and limited new construction in the Palm Beach County. Rates remained consistently below 3.2 percent since the beginning of 2018. A total of 146,253 square feet of industrial space has been delivered in the fourth quarter of 2018, while 339,020 square feet of space is under construction. A total of 147,328 square feet was absorbed in the fourth quarter, which exceeds the amount of industrial space delivered.
