SACRAMENTO INDUSTRIAL MARKET SETS THE BAR HIGH FOR 2019
Although 2018’s total net absorption was 1 million square feet less than 2017’s record 4.49 million square feet, there is still a significant amount of industrial tenant demand out there. Only 861,788 square feet of new supply hit the market in 2018 and 97 percent of that space is leased. More than 1 million square feet is under construction and will be completed by Q2 2019. However, with strong tenant demand and lack of available existing supply, there are a number of additional projects (up to 1.2 million square feet combined) that could break ground in 2019 and deliver in 2020.
