Oakland Q4 Office Research Report Image

A Changing Skyline

The US economy ended the year with 4.1 percent unemployment, record breaking stock market performance, and fourth quarter GDP forecasts that, if accurate, will create three consecutive quarters of 3.0 percent or more of growth, a feat not seen since 2004. All of this on its own would suggest increasing job growth and higher demand for office space, but office space requirements are also downsizing courtesy of a rise in co-working, space use efficiency, and other factors, so expect the national office market performance to remain consistent with its stable performance over the previous two years.
