Data Centers leadership

Everett Thompson

Senior Vice President, Data Center Consulting

I run Colliers' data center practice in the Americas. I am a 25 year, multi-disciplinary (Technical, Financial, Commercial) veteran of large-scale infrastructure and technology businesses. As CEO of Wired Real Estate Group Inc. (, a data center advisory firm founded in Silicon Valley, I work in the US, Asia, and EMEA markets advising investors, lenders and enterprises on cloud, colocation and data center investments up to $100 million. I have worked with some of the largest investors in the space, including Iron Mountain, AT&T, Amazon, Adobe, Verizon, Goldman, Citibank, Wells Fargo, Shiseido, US Dept of Energy, and others. Additionally, I own and operate I74 Wired, a 65,000 Sq-Ft mixed use co-work, data center and office park in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Prior to Colliers, I worked as Technology Practice Leader at a San Francisco-based commercial real estate firm and Business Development Manager at Equinix, the global leader in colocation data centers. At Equinix I worked with numerous large cloud, tech, and telecom firms deploying scale network and server points of presence across the US and Asia Pacific.  Firms I supported include Google, Yahoo!, Electronic Arts, Sprint, Internap and others.

I have also worked at the venture capital arm of Foster Wheeler, Inc., leading the development of the Asia-Pacific market (Philippines, Vietnam, Japan). In that capacity, I worked with numerous multilateral banks, including IFC, ADB, and the World Bank, and I developed and closed power projects up to $300 million. I speak fluent Japanese (though my vocabulary drops by the day).
