Professional Summary

With extensive experience in commercial building maintenance, operations leadership and technical building system improvements, I serve as the vice president of capital projects in Colliers International | Chicago’s Project Management group. My background and understanding of the physical and financial management aspects of office and industrial properties supports construction, redevelopment, acquisition and disposition activities. I have supervised HVAC central plant replacements, controls retrofits, roof tear-offs, generator installations, fire panel replacements, elevator modernizations, security systems development, core and shell construction and tenant interior work.

I have enjoyed a 19-year career that, in addition to Colliers International, has included companies such as Lincoln Property Company, Holiday Inn, Corporetum Development, Prentiss Properties and Brandywine Realty Trust. During my career I have supervised assignments including property management, asset acquisition and disposition, core and shell construction, redevelopment of existing structures, mechanical systems and tenant interiors.

At Prentiss Properties, I served as the director of operations for the Midwest region and was responsible for the development and implementation of annual operating expense budgets, business plans, capital planning, project due diligence and construction management.

At Prentiss, I grew the engineering team from four personnel to 40 in a two-year period. From 1999-2004, my engineering team received five consecutive national CEL customer satisfaction awards. My team and I generated $1.5 million in cost savings by instituting programs that included labor reduction, energy management, mechanical equipment renovations, lighting retrofits and contract administration.

  • Served as team leader in the redevelopment of 123 North Wacker Drive in Chicago.  The project involved the conversion of a 540,000-square-foot building from a single-tenant use into a multi-tenant Class A office building.
  • Acted as the owner’s representative for the construction of Bannockburn Center – a $77 million, 257,000-square-foot Class A office center in Bannockburn, Illinois.
  • Served an integral role in Prentiss Properties' portfolio disposition as a result of a merger with Brandywine Realty Trust.  I successfully managed the strategic business plan to dissolve and dispose of all assets in Detroit, Kansas City, Milwaukee and Chicago.
