Colliers Facilitates Multiple Lease Transactions Valued Over $31 Million

Richmond, VA – October 16, 2020 – Colliers International Virginia, LLC has successfully secured seven new deals and two lease renewals.  This week’s transactions combined for a total of 757,910 square feet and are valued at over $31 million.

New transactions included:

Crunch Fitness signed a new 30,000 square foot lease at 1920 York Road in Timonium, Maryland.  Colliers’ Peter Vick and Harrison Hall represented the tenan

T-Mania RVA LLC signed a new 1,322 square foot lease at 4521-4571 Laburnum Ave in Richmond.  Colliers’ Peter Vick, Harrison Hall and Maddy Spear represented the landlord.

Kiewit Infrastructure South Co. signed a new 5,074 square foot office lease at 4192 Innslake Dr. in Glen Allen, Virginia.  Colliers’ Rebecca Barricklow and Catherine Walker represented the landlord

Renewals consisted of:

1-800-Pack-Rat LLC renewed its 25,267 square foot lease at 6601 S Laburnum Ave in Richmond.  Colliers’ John Carpin and Rob Dirom represented the landlord.

Maddy Spear joined the Retail Leasing and Sales Team as an Associate, following her graduation from the University of Mary Washington with degrees in Business Administration and English. In the Summer of 2017, Maddy interned with the firm and through this experience she was able to partner with all service lines within the Hampton Roads office. Currently, Maddy travels between Richmond and Hampton Roads and is very familiar with both markets.

In 2019, Maddy and another associate leased 15 spaces in two months at Lynnhaven North, a 173,191 square foot center in Virginia Beach. They back filled 2 box spaces (totaling over 68,000 square feet) that has been vacant for 1 and 3 years respectively.

Rebecca Barricklow has over 23 years of experience in the commercial leasing and management of downtown and suburban office buildings in the Richmond Area. Her responsibilities include landlord and tenant representation for office, medical, office/flex and industrial properties. Some of her clients include Southport Financial, Lawson Family, Patriot Equities, Robinson Development Group, CS Investors, Innslake, LLC, and Bon Secours Health System, Inc.

Mrs. Walker joined Colliers in November 2017.  She specializes in leasing office, flex and medical buildings, representing both tenants and landlords.  She comes from a direct sales background in DC & Maryland after graduating from Virginia Tech in 2013 with a degree in Communications.

John Carpin

John Carpin has over 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, with his primary responsibilities including landlord representation of industrial and office/medical properties for both institutional and local owners. In addition, he is involved with tenant representation for both national and local clients. In these capacities, John has represented landlords and tenants in the identification, acquisition and disposition of commercial assets. Since 1996, John has completed over 850 transactions totaling over $276 million in value and has been involved in over 10 million square feet of leasing transactions, while handling a portfolio of over 2.5 million square feet of office/medical and industrial properties.

In addition to Landlord and tenant representations, John has experience in investment/building and land sales. This work has provided vital experience in the building development process (pro forma evaluation), project management, (P.O.D. process, selection of architects, engineers and contractors, etc.) and lease procurement and negotiations.
