Associate Vice President
As Associate Vice President with Colliers International, my primary focus is assisting clients in the acquisition and disposition of multifamily properties throughout the Midwest with an emphasis on West Michigan.
My specialty lies in helping our clients maximize sale proceeds during the transaction process, but my team prides ourselves on our ability to deliver data driven market knowledge and trends to our clients throughout the life cycle of a property. As a property investor myself, I am able to view each assignment through multiple lenses to achieve the best results for my clients. My client list includes small and large developers, private equity funds, family trusts, and international investors. I have sold numerous properties to first time international buyers and maintain a network of contacts that extends far beyond the Midwest.
My entire professional life has been focused on multifamily investment properties and I pride myself on delivering a hands-on, personal approach that has developed long-lasting business relationships with my clients. My team is focused on understanding our clients, their company, their long-term objectives, and being a true solutions-based adviser on their side of the table.

I joined Colliers in 2013 while pursuing my degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing at Grand Valley State University.
Originally hired as a retail intern, I swiftly gained a reputation as a trusted and professional retail broker.
My marketing knowledge, combined with my honesty and drive to provide the best customer service possible, provide me with a solid foundation to serve my clients in today’s competitive market.
Primarily working with retailers, restaurateurs and landlords, my most notable clients consist of Popeye's, Freshii, AutoZone, Casey’s General Store, Clean Juice, Biggby Coffee, and Rockford Construction.
Having lived in West Michigan my entire life, I have a wealth of knowledge around the local market, specifically on retail. I joined Colliers International | West Michigan in 2018 immediately following my franchisee ownership in the retail sector, and will use my understanding of the market to bring bring a unique perspective to the team.
I will build my client portfolio through my existing market knowledge and ambition to provide a quality experience to those I work with. The new opportunity and the potential for a career in helping those who are similar to I was when building a franchise is extremely exciting for me. This will all allow me to provide accurate and in-depth information on the surrounding areas.
Senior Vice President
I have been involved in some of the Midwest’s largest retail projects, bringing more than 35 years of experience and national-level retail contacts to the Colliers International | West Michigan team. I am well-known for my expertise and attention to detail in retail and tenant site location. Most notably, I am known for my work in consulting local communities on their location of retail properties. I also frequently assist clients by lending my knowledge in marketing.
Prior to joining Colliers, I served as the president of Visser Development, Inc., for 16 years. While at Visser, I was responsible for the development, management, leasing, and sale of numerous West Michigan strip centers and enclosed malls.
Before Visser, I spent seven years in marketing and management at The Taubman Centers, Inc. - an international developer of regional malls.
My early years at Taubman prepared me for my success as a major retail broker by providing me with the management skills needed to oversee large transactions and the creativity to develop creative retail, real estate solutions.
Senior Vice President
Throughout my career as a real estate professional, I have maintained my strong client base and reputation for focus on suburban office properties because of the strong relationships I have developed with landlords whom I continue to represent in leasing and sale transactions.
I pride myself on being extremely up-to-date on significant suburban office developments and trends in the West Michigan market.
Focusing on owner-occupant office building purchases, I use a series of analytical tools, and have been very successful in helping many businesses make their first real estate investment by purchasing their own building.
I also continue to devote more energy to the growing medical and health care industry in West Michigan, and have closed over 50 medical transactions in the past 10 years, representing area physicians in both purchase and lease transactions.
As a natural communicator, I intend to bring my commercial real estate savvy and expansive network to my new role at Colliers International | West Michigan.
With fifteen years of diverse real estate experience ranging from multi-family development finance with the Inner City Christian Federation, to retail brokerage at M Retail, and property acquisition at Vision Real Estate Investment, I am a well-rounded in all things commercial real estate.
My forte is forming personal relationships with clients to identify solutions to their current and future needs. Whether its growth or a consolidation, my financial background and current knowledge of the commercial real estate market results in a seamless process, from start to finish.

As an office advisor with Colliers International | West Michigan, I bring over twelve years of commercial real estate experience, specializing in office sales and leasing. I pride myself in my work ethic and ability to hear, understand, and address the needs of my clients. I understand both micro and macro trends in the industry and can communicate these to my clients. I think creatively in negotiations to achieve my client’s goals, always putting my clients’ interests first.
Every year since moving to West Michigan in 2012, I have been recognized as an Office Leasing Power Broker and have worked with a diverse array of clients such as Metro Health, Franklin Partners, Fusion Education, and Network 180.
In addition to my years of experience, I am also a member of the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) affiliation and a member of Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR).

As a leading Commercial Real Estate Specialist, I focus on working with general and medical office transactions throughout West Michigan.
I provide services to special projects where technology and analytical skills are required to achieve the best client results. My work with hospitals and medical groups has earned me a respected reputation as a leading broker for medical-related properties.
I have worked with the sale and leasing of data centers, call centers, and numerous special projects that are not considered general office transactions. Also, my previous experience at Whirlpool Corporation afforded me a unique perspective in dealing with corporate clients.

I bring over fifteen years of commercial real estate experience to Colliers International | West Michigan and am knowledgeable in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions including landlord representation, tenant representation, development, investment, and consulting. My focus is on the West Michigan office market with a strong emphasis on downtown Grand Rapids.
I recently took over the leasing of Bridgewater Place at 333 Bridge St. and in less than 24 months the building has seen over 100,000 square feet of space leased.
I have 25 years of commercial real estate experience, successfully representing my clients with their commercial real estate portfolios requirements. As Vice President, I have been a consistent Top Producer throughout my career, having represented clients on national, regional and local levels, resulting in the completion of hundreds of commercial real estate transactions on various property types and sizes including Industrial, Office, Retail, Land, and other unique property types. I proudly represent Colliers International and their top-tier commercial real estate services throughout northern Michigan. I am based out of Traverse City, Michigan.
I have been a commercial realtor for over 30 years and am a leading commercial real estate specialist.
In 1987, I further established my career in commercial real estate by founding Focus Properties, Inc., currently known as Colliers International of Holland, Michigan.
Under my leadership and determined vision, I have been able to lead my team in offering the most advanced and client-oriented services in the Lakeshore Commercial Real Estate market.
I began my real estate career in 2008, with a primary focus on commercial leasing and property redevelopment. My responsibilities include analyzing financial statements and developing pro-forma’s in order to establish market values. I have an eye for value creation real estate opportunities and excel in market research data and staying current on national and local market trends.
Best known as one of the top producers in the Holland industrial market, I have worked in commercial real estate since 1989.
I provide client-focused real estate solutions for companies ranging from small, locally-owned businesses to large corporations and draw on my extensive business and brokerage background to solve complex client assignments.
My transactional experience encompasses a broad spectrum of property types including industrial, flex, office, retail, land and investment properties.
I played a significant role in the site selections for LG Chem, ROL - USA and OMT-Vehl.
Currently, I am involved in the redevelopment of Washington School in Holland into a residential community.
I joined Colliers International | Holland as a research analyst after graduating from Hope College in 2004, quickly gaining the knowledge and experience through my research to advance into an advisory position within the firm.
I enjoy and excel in helping buyers and sellers work through the many obstacles of today’s challenging real estate market, and have assisted clients through difficult financing situations, due diligence plans, valuation analysis and transaction closings.
As a Holland native with a strong understanding of the local market, I have a passion for success and is determined to see my clients represented to the best of my ability.

I have been involved in commercial real estate for over 15 years working both as a real estate broker and for a commercial general contractor, and previously served as an owner’s representative on many development projects, ranging in size from $250,000 to projects exceeding $10,000,000 in value. Because of this, I have gained expertise in many aspects of a commercial real estate transaction from financial evaluation, environmental concerns & incentives, legal and entitlement processes and general project due diligence matters.
My background and emphasis is in finance, and excels in finding creative solutions to find, create and maximize real estate opportunities.
With a background in commercial property management, business development and marketing, I have a passion for developing and sustaining relationships.
I began working for Colliers International in 2018 and work with Holland Team members, providing Commercial Real Estate services in a variety of specialties to the West Michigan market.
Before joining Colliers International, I worked for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Holland as the Director of Development. Prior to that I worked in commercial property management, sales and marketing
As Managing Director, I have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the entire portfolio of the company’s offerings, and oversee the key functions of sales, delivery and business enabling functions.
I drive and oversee the continuous renewal of key processes, systems and policies across the company in client relationship management, sales effectiveness, quality assurance, talent management and leadership development.
In addition to nearly a decade’s worth of management experience, I have six years of experience in helping real estate professionals secure loans. There I was a leader in fostering excellence and built trust and respect within the organization and throughout the community.
In 2007, I created Potvin Haywood & Associates, an origination team consistently in the top 10% of producers nationwide. My team and I have generated new loan opportunities and met with clients to determine their financial situation and eligibility.
I joined Colliers in 2019, bringing an extensive background in real estate, brand marketing and organizational collaboration.
As director of operations, I run day-to-day business operations, which include overseeing the departments of accounting, marketing, research, property management, human resources, and staffing.
I greatly enjoy the synergy of team collaboration and strive for excellent internal communication; this not only creates the happiest more effective workplaces it fosters excellence for the client we serve!
As the Managing Director of Colliers International | West Michigan Real Estate Management Services department, I oversee property management, customer service and asset management for Colliers' clients and tenants. I use my extensive experience and education to provide support for investor and tenant relations, long-term asset management planning for capital expenditures, and reporting. I also use my background in financial analytics to ensure even more accurate reporting for clients.
My background, combined with other memebers of the REMS team, creates a winning combination for real estate owners and their tenants.
Prior to joining Colliers, I was the executive vice president of a local commercial investment company, where I led a team that grew the firm's portfolio of managed and owned properties by nearly one million square feet, and provided leadership and analysis for acquisitions of more than $65 million.
